Chapter 69.50 RCW: UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT - Washington (c) No liability is imposed by this chapter upon any authorized state, county, or municipal officer, engaged in the lawful performance of his or her duties. Possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana is a Class A Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.
