founders day welcome speech

The glittering faces tell that already. Today, I am here to tell you that we still embrace this goal and that, along with such great universities as Stanford, MIT, Carnegie-Mellon, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, and the University of Michigan, we are on a list of the most innovative national universities in the nation! Significantly, more than one thousand Tekes since June made their first gift to the TKE Foundation through Life Loyal Teke (LLT). Which is why we must also be globally minded people of the moment. It's up to each of us, as their progeny, to not only continue to live that vision and that experience in the real world but to pass it on to those who follow us, to ensure it lives and guides, not only our own lives, but the lives of the Fraters whom we touch and all men, women and children we come in contact with throughout our own lives. Together, they and we help define Wake Forests story. Fraters, perception is reality. As we move forward we are looking in the mirror, asking questions: What are our challenges? This hard work formed deep bonds and I still consider my fellow Xi-Iota Fraters my closest personal friends. That effort raised nearly $30,000which is more than $430,000 in todays dollars when adjusted for inflation. o How can we develop closer connections with Catonsville and Arbutus and create a college town atmosphere? For us to achieve what our Founders set out to accomplish, the Fraternity For Life needs you. Better Men for a Better World is a commitment we make each and every day to each other and our beloved Fraternity. Joseph Settles took their advice and ran with it. Now we have integrated those four offices into the Division of Information Technology. She thanked me for explaining all the positive opportunities awaiting her son and for taking the time to ease her fears. This Founders' Day, as I join all of you in reflecting on the history of our beloved Fraternity, now 116 years young, I continue to be awed by the innumerable accomplishments of Tau Kappa Epsilon. 75 percent earned a postsecondary degree; and 15 percent are still enrolled. Founder One of the high honors Ive had as Grand Prytanis is appointing my good friend and fellow Xi-Iota Teke, Alexander Rudloff, to the Grand Council for us to tap his vast experience that started in our home chapter. So today, I leave you with those wise words. In our world, you dont only learn but you live diversity and inclusion. Organizations are founded only once, and the best ones renew themselves continually. Speech on Foundation Day of a School EdgeArticles
